Paxman Scalp Cooling

Global business on our doorstep

Fenay Bridge business Paxman Scalp Cooling are global leaders pioneering scalp cooling technology worldwide for over 20 years. A business with close family roots at its core, Paxman aim to make a difference to people’s lives by raising awareness about scalp cooling and establishing the cold cap as common practice for all patients undergoing cancer treatment.

Glenn Paxman founded Paxman Scalp Cooling from his own personal experience when wife Sue Paxman lost her hair whilst receiving chemotherapy for breast cancer. Her family shared her distress and learnt first-hand the effects that both cancer and its treatment can have on patients, friends and families.

Sue died of cancer in 2000 and is the heart and motivation behind everything that happens at Paxman. She overflowed with personality and determination and it is this unwavering forward motion that has become an innate part of the Paxman approach, and the family’s mission to ensure that anyone who wants scalp cooling can access the treatment.

Having carried out extensive trials and product development, Paxman have created a cold cap system that is clinically proven, cost-effective and widely embraced by doctors, nurses and patients alike. They are committed to improving the efficacy of scalp cooling for all patients across the world.

The Paxman Scalp Cooling System’s impact on thousands of patients worldwide is Sue’s legacy.

We are very proud that Paxman are supporting Almondbury Business and Community Association becoming one of our business members. Through their membership we will be able to support initiatives that will directly benefit business, community groups and residents in Almondbury, Lepton and Fenay Bridge.
