Get creative:

Be Positive : Messages of love and hope are appearing around the Almondbury, lepton and Fenaybridge. Local children are using their time and creating "lovely" little messages to raise spirits and let isolated family know they are still being thought about in these demanding times.

Also painted rocks (Mandala stones) have been put round Almondbury for you to find and re-hide. Please wash your hands if you touch them!

Is this something you could encourage your children to make - social distancing guidelines and hand washing observed at all times of course. Pictures of these could be shared on social media as a message to family and friends. There are lots of activities for people of all ages to do during this period of self isolation - doing something like this with such a positive message is just one example. Rainbow and other themed walks - 🌈 People are putting up rainbows, sunshine, Easter, animals, flowers and smiley faces in their windows over the coming weeks. Go on a walk and see if you can find them.

Create a bug house from materials you can find on your walks or in your garden. Growing Works filled some old teasel stems and tied them together, drilled holes into a section of old Christmas tree, and used wood to create a box to fill with bamboo, moss and leaves. Let your imagination run wild!
